Merry Christmas & Happy New 2015 Year from RRC-HQ!

On behalf of Council of Club of ham radio travelers “Russian Robinson” I congratulate you with Christmas and New Year 2015!
The 2014th disappears: this year was a special one – together with all worldwide IOTA community our club celebrated 50-years anniversary of the international program "Islands on the air". The delegation of Russian Robinson Club took active part in the international IOTA convention in Great Britain celebrating the 50 anniversary of the program. On behalf of club we congratulated our colleagues and presented video presentation of RRC–20/IOTA–50 in English language – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXMAKLPJcio . We have exiting future ahead of us: IOTA Committee added of two NEW ONE in the European and Asian parts of Russia – Victoria Island (EU-190P) in the Archipelago FJL and group of islands of Shelikhov Bay (AS-203P) on Kamchatka. The letter "P" means “Provisional” and gives incentive of the organization of radio expeditions in New Year. Expansion was very well received by RRA and other club programs. It should be noted that our club considerably was expanded with new members of RRC – some from abroad. It means that popularity of RRC grows not only in Russia. Pleased the world radio amateur community of expedition of "Russian Robinsons" – RI1O, R3RRC/1, RI0F, RI1N, RI0X, KL7RRC, XU7AEZ, RK3DZJ/1/p, RT9K/p and others. In 2014 members of our club for the first time carried out flight and aired from a balloon "Sacred Russia" over the Cold Pole – the village of Oimyakon on the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Flags of Russia and Russian Robinson Club were lifted, the club call sign R3RRC/0, and also individual call signs of pilots aeronauts – RA3TND&UA3AKO/0/AM on air sounded. Many "Robinsons" showed the activity, both in the individual plan, and as a part of various teams. RRC/IOTA/DX expeditions proceed and expand the geography!
I will celebrate one more event separately: in 2014 the 100 anniversary of the world famous Norwegian traveler, scientist and writer – Thor Heyerdahl, who in the expeditions used an amateur radio communication was celebrated. From a raft of "Kohn Territorial election commissions", the papyrian (reed) boats "Ra" and "Tigris" signal LI2B sounded. The example of these expeditions inspired many present "Robinson" and connected the radio world with travel. Club of radio amateur travelers "Russian Robinson" was founded on these ideas.
